The American Cable Association, which represents about 850 smaller and independent cable companies, is beefing up its lobbying team, bringing on Mary Lovejoy in the new position of vice president of regulatory affairs.
Lovejoy will report to Ross Lieberman, ACA’s senior vice president of government affairs.
Most recently an associate in the communications group at the D.C. law firm of Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo, Lovejoy worked on many of the issues effecting broadband and Internet service providers such as net neutrality, retransmission consent, cybersecurity and privacy.
In her new position she’ll concentrate on many of the same issues before the Federal Communications Commission.
“Mary will help ACA advance a policy agenda focused on ensuring that laws and regulations accurately reflect the needs of all communications providers, especially smaller ones,” ACA president and CEO Matthew Polka said.
